📮CALL FOR ARTISTS: Postcards from 96706 📮

Aloha, Student Artists! We are looking for your best artwork to feature in our 2027
Rotary calendar. For 2027, we aren’t just making a calendar—we are sending
"Postcards" from our home to the world!

🎨 The Theme: "Greetings from Ewa Beach"
If you were sending a postcard to a friend who has never been to the 96706, what
would you show them? Think about your favorite Ewa spots or activity:
• The Hawaiian Railway train chugging along.
• Sunset surfs at White Plains or One’ula.
• Picking up treats at the Ewa Town Center.
• Volleyball at Puʻuloa Beach Park or fun at the Wai Kai Lagoon.
• Biking along Keoneula Blvd or soccer at Geiger Park.
• Your favorite shave ice or plate lunch spot!

📋 Artist Guidelines
1. Landscape Mode: All drawings must be on 8.5” x 11” paper, drawn horizontally
(side-to-side).
2. The "96706 Stamp": In the top-right corner of your drawing, design a small
"postage stamp" (maybe with a hibiscus, a palm tree, or a shaka inside!).
3. Bold & Bright: Use markers, paint, or dark crayons. Please avoid light pencils -
they don't "mail" well!
4. Originality: Hand-drawn artwork only (no digital art). One entry per student.
5. A Special Note: On your entry form, write a short sentence starting with: "I love
Ewa Beach because..." or "Greetings from..."

🏆 Prizes & Recognition
13 winning drawings will be selected to be published in the 2027 Rotary Club of Ewa
Beach Calendar! Winners will be honored at a special awards ceremony (details to
follow).
• First Place: $50.00 Gift Card
• Second Place: $30.00 Gift Card
• Third Place: $20.00 Gift Card
• Bonus: Every featured artist receives a free copy of the 2027 Calendar!

📅 How to Enter
• Eligibility: Open to all elementary school students in Ewa Beach.
• Deadline: Original deadline is April 24, 2026 but we have extended it to April 30th! 
• Consent: A parent or guardian signature is required on the entry form
